The "Force" by Discraft is an overstable distance driver designed for powerful throws and demanding conditions. As a 12-speed disc, it targets experienced players seeking reliable stability at high arm speeds. It particularly shines in headwinds and for controlled distance shots with predictable fade. Despite its high speed, the wide rim sits comfortably in the hand, enabling precise releases. Available in popular plastics like Z Line and ESP, the "Force" maintains its overstable characteristics over time, while Pro-D versions break in faster and become more accessible after just a few rounds. With a speed of 12, glide of 5, turn of 0, and fade of 3, the "Force" delivers an uncompromisingly stable flight path. It resists turning over even at full power and holds a clean line until a strong fade at the end. On anhyzer releases, it fights back to a hyzer position and reliably lands left of the throwing direction. The disc demands sufficient arm speed to unlock its full potential—with too little power, it fades early and fails to achieve the desired distance. When fresh, it behaves significantly more overstable than after extended use, where it becomes more moderate and remains usable for less powerful throwers. For forehand shots, the "Force" excels: its stability allows for powerful flex shots where the disc starts on an anhyzer, stands up, and lands with a reliable fade. It's also a dependable choice for utility shots around obstacles or in strong crosswinds. Advanced and skilled players will find it a robust workhorse for maximum distance and controlled landings. Beginners should opt for slower, less stable drivers first, as the "Force" requires precise technique and high throwing speed.
