The Discraft "Buzzz SS" expands the Buzzz family with an understable midrange, making it a versatile workhorse especially suited for beginners and players with moderate arm speed. With a speed of 5, it covers the classic midrange spectrum while offering significantly more turnover potential than the standard Buzzz. The rounded edge ensures a comfortable grip, while the moderate depth of the flight plate allows for quick releases. The disc particularly shines in Z Line and ESP plastics over time, with Big Z providing added durability while maintaining consistent flight characteristics. In the air, the Buzzz SS presents itself as a controlled midrange with speed 5 and glide 4, flying a nearly straight path on flat releases. The -2 turn activates smoothly, enabling gentle right-turning flights for right-handed backhand throws without the disc turning uncontrollably. Z Plastic behaves slightly more stable than the flight numbers suggest, delivering reliable straight flights with minimal drift. The moderate fade of 1 brings the disc back gently at the end, ensuring precise landings even on longer throws. The combination of sufficient glide and controlled turn makes it a dependable option between 60 and 90 meters. The disc excels for anhyzer lines, cleanly holding the intended curve without fading abruptly. Hyzer flips work well with moderate power, resulting in long, straight flights with a soft finish. For forehand throws, it remains stable enough for controlled shots, while backhand players can utilize the full range of angles. Beginners benefit from its forgiving nature and the opportunity to practice different release angles. Advanced players strategically use the Buzzz SS for turnover shots and precise approach throws where full control over the entire flight path is essential.
