# Discmania Tactic The Discmania Tactic fills the role of an overstable approach midrange for precise shots on short to medium distances. With a speed of 4, it's ideal for controlled throws in the 50 to 90-meter range, where reliability matters more than maximum distance. This disc competes directly with established models like the Discraft Zone or the Westside Harp, but features a slightly deeper rim without an inner bead. Particularly in the softer EXO plastics, it proves to be a versatile tool for approach shots where excessive skip should be avoided. In flight, its strong overstability dominates with a turn of 0 and a fade of 3. The low glide of 2 ensures the disc enters its fade early without developing uncontrolled float. When thrown flat, it starts turning left mid-flight, while on anhyzer angles, it reliably fights back. The Meta version is slightly more overstable than standard EXO plastics, behaving similarly to a fresh Z Zone. Even under high torque, the flight remains stable, making it ideal for powerful forehand throws. The flat top enhances grip and control at release. The Tactic excels on forehand due to its torque resistance but performs just as reliably on backhand. Hyzer lines with predictable fade are among its standard uses, while forced anhyzer shots come back under control. The softer EXO plastics suit players who prefer extra grip and less skip on slippery surfaces or in wet conditions. Intermediate players will find it a dependable first overstable approach disc, while advanced throwers appreciate it for windy conditions and technical approaches.
