The "DD2" from Discmania is one of the fastest distance drivers in their lineup, designed for experienced throwers with high arm speed. As a high-speed option with pronounced glide, it excels in maximizing distance on open fairways. The C-Line version is noticeably more overstable, while the S-Line and Horizon S-Line offer slightly more flexibility in flight behavior. Intermediate players may find it controllable with clean technique, but most advanced and professional throwers appreciate it as a demanding tool for specific situations. In flight, the DD2 exhibits different characteristics depending on the plastic. The S-Line version is sensitive to release angles and allows for a slight turn on powerful throws before the fade kicks in. This behavior makes it a reliable choice for wide S-curves and controlled turnover lines with a dependable finish. The C-Line is significantly more stable, behaving similarly to a slightly overstable Destroyer—it holds up in headwinds and maintains its intended line even at high speeds. The G-Line, on the other hand, leans more toward turnover and requires precise angle control. Some well-seasoned discs exhibit extreme glide and achieve impressive distances but demand consistent arm speed. For forehand throws, the C-Line DD2 provides a stable platform with reliable fade, while the S-Line also suits backhand bombers looking for controlled turn. Advanced players with experience in speed-13 drivers will find it a useful distance driver for specialized lines, though it requires consistency and power. Beginners often struggle with the required arm speed—only with developed throwing technique does the disc reveal its full potential.
