The "Typhoon" by DGA is a Speed 12 distance driver designed for long throws, combining distance potential with controllable stability. Its name hints at powerful flight paths that excel on open fairways and longer holes. With its overstable design, it’s ideal for high-speed throws that still require a reliable finish. In the air, the disc’s Speed 12 and Glide 6 deliver clear distance potential while maintaining a pronounced float. The -2 Turn provides a moderate rightward drift during the acceleration phase for backhand throws without becoming uncontrollable. A Fade of 2 ensures a dependable fade at the end of the flight, finishing with a noticeable left hook. This Turn-Fade combination creates an S-shaped flight path that unfolds over extended distances. For intermediate to advanced players, the "Typhoon" unlocks long-distance throws without demanding extreme arm speed. It performs well on hyzer lines that flip up and fade predictably, as well as on anhyzer releases that gain extra distance from the Turn.
