Aftershock
The DGA "Aftershock" operates as an overstable midrange, bridging the gap between versatile all-rounders and aggressive utility discs. With a speed of 5 and fade of 2, it handles throws where a Buzzz shows too much turn, without slipping into the extremes of a pure headwind fighter. The microbead on the inner rim ensures defined hand contact and supports clean releases on hyzer and flat lines. In SP Line and ProLine, the disc offers grippy surfaces, while DGA D-Line gradually opens up moderate turnover windows as it wears, slightly softening its initial overstability. In flight, the "Aftershock" delivers a controlled, straight path with reliable fade at the finish. Its glide rating of 4 keeps it airborne longer than flatter overstable midranges, without becoming uncontrollable. On flat releases, the line remains stable before predictably pulling left. Hyzer throws amplify the fade, allowing precise approaches around obstacles. Light anhyzer angles are quickly corrected as the disc returns to a neutral path before fade kicks in. Compared to the Wasp, the bead is subtler, permitting a wider range of grips. Its flight characteristics resemble a slightly toned-down Roc3, with a bit more glide and less dump tendency on landings. For beginners with some experience in clean releases, the "Aftershock" offers a predictable introduction to overstable midranges without immediately demanding extreme arm speed. Advanced players value it for controlled approach shots between 60 and 90 meters, where precision outweighs maximum distance. On forehand throws, it delivers stable results without unexpected turnover moments. In windy conditions, it reliably holds hyzer lines while navigating tight fairways with moderate fade.
