Sasquatch
The "Sasquatch" by Daredevil Discs is designed as an extremely understable distance driver, offering a wide range of applications, particularly for rollers and controlled turnover shots over long distances. With a speed rating of 13, it achieves high velocities while its pronounced understability enables throws that aren't possible with many overstable high-speed drivers. Its uses range from maximum-distance turnovers to precise roller shots, where the disc continues rolling controllably after landing. The flight characteristics, marked by a turn of -5 and fade of 1, make it strongly right-turning for right-handed backhand throws. After release, the disc quickly flips to the right and maintains this turnover line for long distances, with only slight stabilization from the minimal fade at the end. A glide of 5 extends the flight phase and maximizes distance even without maximum arm speed. This flight profile makes the "Sasquatch" one of the most understable discs in the high-speed category, setting it apart from moderately understable distance drivers like the Innova Tern. For anhyzer shots, only a moderate angle is needed to send the disc on a long, right-turning path. A hyzer release results in pronounced hyzer flips followed by turnovers, while flat releases transition directly into a right curve. Roller shots benefit from its tendency to continue rolling controllably after ground contact. The disc is aimed at intermediate-level players seeking intentionally understable flight characteristics for specific throws without requiring maximum arm speed. Forehand throws produce corresponding left-turning paths with similar control.
