Hellbender
The Daredevil Discs "Hellbender" fills the role of a reliable overstable midrange for controlled throws in windy conditions and precise approaches. With a speed of 4, it moves at a classic midrange pace and caters to players seeking stability on the fairway without excessive distance demands. Its use ranges from technical wooded fairways to open positions where crosswinds may affect the flight line. In flight, the Hellbender demonstrates solid carry with a glide of 4, while a turn of 0 prevents any unwanted right drift on clean backhand throws. The fade of 2 ensures a noticeable but not aggressive left finish at the end of the flight. This combination of neutral early-flight behavior and a dependable fade makes the disc predictable: it holds the release line steadily and lands with a calculated leftward fade. Even in headwinds, the flight path remains controlled without the disc turning unpredictably. On the course, the Hellbender performs reliably on hyzer lines, where the moderate fade naturally amplifies, and on flat throws intended to finish slightly left. For forehand throws, its stability also provides good control, especially for mid-range approach shots. Advanced players use this disc for precise placements, while ambitious intermediate players benefit from its forgiveness. As an overstable midrange, it complements the bag where an Innova Roc3 or Discmania MD3 would typically be used—but with a slightly gentler fade.
