Shadowplay
The Crosslap "Shadowplay" combines understable flight characteristics with high glide, making it ideal for straight approach shots and controlled turnover lines. With a speed of 3 and a turn of -2 paired with minimal fade of 0.5, it bridges the gap between classic straight putters and highly understable utility discs. Its flat profile with pronounced dome resembles a shallower Aviar but delivers significantly more rightward drift for right-handed backhand throws. The grippy, flexible plastic in Crosslap Platinum and Maximum ensures secure grip even in wet conditions. In flight, the "Shadowplay" exhibits a smooth, continuous rightward curve without abrupt dumping. The high glide rating of 3 keeps the disc airborne longer, enabling low-angle throws with maximum distance in the putter category. The -2 turn activates even at moderate arm speed, producing a consistent right drift that persists throughout the entire flight. The minimal 0.5 fade provides slight end-flight stabilization without significantly altering the intended line. This combination allows for precise approaches up to 60 meters. When released on hyzer, the disc flips up to a straight trajectory before gradually drifting right. Anhyzer releases enhance the turnover tendency, making it suitable for dogleg holes requiring right-turning shots. The "Shadowplay" performs equally well for both backhand and forehand throws, with forehand players benefiting from its natural leftward fade. Beginners will appreciate its high fault tolerance and predictable flight, while advanced players can utilize it for specific shot shaping. As a versatile approach putter, it adds a reliable option for technical shots under 70 meters to any bag.
